Things may well have changed, but last time I was in Barcelona, there was a problem of gangs of local youths targeting lone people and mugging them with bricks and bottles.
Just warning a fellow Hammer, who may venture off the public roads intoxicated.

WTF Mallard, I’ve never had / heard of any trouble?
But watch for pick pockets in the metro, a lot of my friends have been robbed, including my Mum twice! Also, if sitting at a table in the street be careful, a friend had her bag taken from under her seat, never noticed until she got up to leave. I do not hear of violent crime, but sneaky thieves are everywhere!

Yes, there is a concentration of Irish bars just of the Rambles in Carrer de Ferran an d the area around there, it is about half up the Rambles on the right side close the the Liceu metro station. Just try them all one of them should have West Ham on.

careful down that end of ramblas /gotic district-- if a barely dressed lady wants to go fucky fucky and wont go away, the offer probably is too good to be true..

There is a pub on the Ramblas that should have it on...its about to thirds down on the right hand side heading towards the port end...just keep your eye out for a Subway and you are there.
